Check out these practical tips to help you stay comfortable, organised, and ready to enjoy every part of race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

Food and drink

Texas Motor Speedway offers a wide selection of concession stands spread throughout the venue. Expect classic race-day options such as burgers, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and snacks. On busy NASCAR weekends, extra food vendors are usually added, serving pizza, barbecue, and other quick meals. Drinks are readily available, including water, soft drinks, beer, and coffee.

Bringing your own food

Fans are allowed to bring unopened, commercially sealed food and beverages into the speedway. Factory-sealed drinks are permitted, provided they are not in glass containers. For the most up-to-date information, always check the Rules for Visitors section before travelling.

Communication

Before heading to the track, download or save key items directly to your phone, including tickets, parking passes, maps, and the event timetable. Mobile networks can become overloaded on race day, especially around start time. If you’re attending with friends or family, agree on a clear meeting point and a backup plan in case phone service becomes unreliable.

Noise

Racing at Texas Motor Speedway is fast and loud, and the grandstands can intensify the sound. When NASCAR Cup Series cars are at full speed, noise levels are very high. Earplugs are strongly recommended for all fans, and children should always use proper hearing protection.

Humidity is generally moderate, but the sun can be strong during the afternoon. Wear light, breathable clothing and bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Evenings can cool off slightly, so a light jacket or hoodie is useful. A compact rain poncho is also a good idea, as spring showers can arrive quickly.

Stay hydrated throughout the day – sealed bottled water is allowed, and water fountains are available around the facility.
